River City Canvas Print

This skyline scene juxtaposes the old and the new. Historical buildings like The Old Supreme Court, to the right of the artwork, have been dwarfed by shiny new skyscrapers. From low shophouses to bedazzling skyscrapers, Singapore’s cityscape has been constantly evolving over the past 50 years - and it continues today.

Traditional Chinese wave motifs have been added to the foreground to reflect on Singapore’s history as a River City.

The photograph used in this artwork was taken from the Padang, an open playing field which was gazetted as a national monument in 2019.

The default frame for this print is: Champagne Silver with a White backing.

Information on Framing Formats

Our Canvas Prints have been coated for scratch, stain and water resistance. Due to numerous reports of framed prints hung using adhesive-backed hooks/strips falling off the wall, we strongly suggest using more secure hanging methods (eg:nails) or opting for unframed prints.
