The Jackson Plan, also known as the Raffles Town Plan, was drawn up in 1822 as a proposed plan for the young town of Singapore.

The 1819 Singapore Treaty. Stamford Raffles, Temenggong Abdu’r Rahman and Sultan Hussein Shah of Johor signed a treaty that gave the British East India Company (EIC) the right to set up a trading post in Singapore.

Text about Raffles Hotel was taken from a vintage advertisement, which speaks of the Sarkies Brothers, who are the founders of The Raffles Hotel.
