This canvas print is a digital reproduction of the original artwork "Year of the Tiger" by Deborah McKellar. Each print run is limited to 50 prints.

Artwork Description

“The Year of the Tiger” celebrates traditional Chinese culture. Here in Singapore, the Chinese make up the largest ethnic group. The shophouse is painted in a classic red, contrasting with a shimmering gold metallic. Large glowing lanterns bring in the festivities as well as a romantic mood. The paper-cut tiger makes us think of Chinese New Year celebrations. Longevity symbols form a wallpaper-like background,  ushering in good luck. A Peranakan tile pattern in the left corner reminds us that this is a Shophouse found here in Singapore.

Our Canvas Prints have been coated for scratch, stain and water resistance. Due to numerous reports of framed prints hung using adhesive-backed hooks/strips falling off the wall, we strongly suggest using more secure hanging methods (eg:nails) or opting for unframed prints.
