Artwork Description

“Lanterns in the Mist” was inspired by the Chinoiserie style - A European romanticised interpretation of Chinese style.
The artwork captures the romantic ambience of a walk in a Chinese garden. A row of red lanterns sways overhead in the breeze. A Chinese Teahouse is surrounded by a lotus pond, a pagoda and a pine tree. The garden is overflowing with blooming English roses and flying swallows.

The photograph used in this artwork of a row of well-preserved Peranakan Shophouses was taken at Koon Seng Road, Joo Chiat, Singapore.
About Framing Formats

The default frame for this print is: Champagne Silver with a White backing.

Our Canvas Prints have been coated for scratch, stain and water resistance. Due to numerous reports of framed prints hung using adhesive-backed hooks/strips falling off the wall, we strongly suggest using more secure hanging methods (eg:nails) or opting for unframed prints.
